The difference between rubber cable and PVC cable

Rubber cables are flexible cables used in mobile environments and have the characteristics of tensile, abrasion, and corrosion resistance. Mainly include general rubber sheathed flexible cable, electric welding machine cable, submersible motor cable, radio device cable and photographic light source cable.

PVC cable is a common wire and cable. It is generally a fixed installation, including cloth wires, control cables, power cables, etc.

Difference

1. Different insulation: Rubber cables belong to mobile cables, and PVC cables belong to fixed cables.

2. The structure is different: The rubber insulated sheathed cable is composed of multiple strands of rubber sheathed wire and rubber outer sheath, which has good protection performance, abrasion resistance and bending resistance, while the PVC sheathed cable is made of multiple strands of PVC. It is composed of a vinyl sheathed wire and a polyvinyl chloride outer sheath.

3. The price is different: The price of rubber cable is more expensive than that of PVC sheathed cable.

4. Different uses: Rubber cables are mostly used for indoor and outdoor temporary pull wires, and also for external power cords for small hand-held power tools and small electrical appliances. Polyvinyl chloride power cables are mostly used for external power cords for household appliances and small electrical appliances.
