Laying and installation of XLPE cable

The cable laying methods include directly buried installation, pipe laying, cable trench laying, tunnel laying and Laying along the wire rope. Before laying the cable, the cabling diagram should be drawn, which includes the cable model, name, number and purpose, as well as the arrangement, placement sequence, and direction of various cables, so as to facilitate future repairs and troubleshooting. When laying cables, clear and firm direction signs or stakes should be provided at both ends, along the line, joints and turning points of the cable. In the process of mechanical traction, pulleys or rollers should be placed, generally placed at intervals of 3 to 5 m, and corner pulleys should be placed at the corners. If conditions do not permit, additional manpower can be assigned to replace the pulley. When laying cement grooves or pipes, some talcum powder or fine sand should be sprinkled in the path to reduce friction. When pulling the cable forward, the speed should not be too fast, and the tensile strength of the cable should be considered. If it is laid at low temperature (-10 ℃), the cable must be energized and preheated first (the current cannot be higher than its rated current), so that the surface temperature is not lower than 5 ℃ and not higher than 35 ℃. If the cable line needs to be turned, the bending radius of the XLPE cable should not be less than 15 times the outer diameter of the cable, so as to avoid internal mechanical damage and cause point effect.
