Rubber cable application scenarios

Silicone rubber is mainly composed of siloxane. Due to its special structure, silicone rubber has excellent unique properties such as good low temperature resistance, weather resistance, weak water absorption, and good electrical insulation. The rapid development of silicone rubber has made silicone cables an important research direction in modern high-tech fields, which are used in aerospace, national defense and military industry, electronics and electrical appliances, medical and health and other fields.

Commonly used rubbers for rubber cables include chlorinated polyethylene, ethylene-propylene rubber, silicone rubber, neoprene, etc. In recent years, natural and styrene-butadiene rubbers have also been used. However, due to the multiple standards of the cable industry, the silicone rubber used in my country may be the second largest rubber product in the cable industry after chlorinated polyethylene.
