The welding cable (YH cable) is the wire at the output end of the electric welding machine. The structure is a single-core cable, which is generally composed of multiple copper wires. There are generally three connection methods for welding cables:

1. Connect with copper cable jointing sleeve. Strip the insulation of the cable head about 20mm, insert the bare copper wire into the nostril of the copper wire, and then press the opening with a special hydraulic crimping tool. Fix the pressed copper wire lug on the output terminal of the welding machine with a nut. This method is the most commonly used, not only simple operation, low cost, but also good results.

2. Use a welding cable quick connector. There are two types of quick connectors. The first is to fix the female on the electric welding machine and the male on the welding wire. The second type is used for middle and indirect long wires. When using, insert the male and female together and rotate 90°. The advantage is that it is fast and convenient when separating and connecting, and the connection effect is good. The disadvantage is that the cost is high. If the operation is improper, the connector is connected poorly and easily burned out.

3. Twist the two bare copper wires directly by hand or peel off part of the cable insulation layer, and press the bare copper wires directly on the welding terminal. This method is easy to cause heat, redness, and smoke at the connection, and in severe cases, it will burn out the equipment and ignite nearby combustibles. This method is only suitable for short-term use in emergency situations and is generally not recommended.
