How to install a Flexible towline cable

Flexible cables are special cables, which are mainly customized according to the equipment and environment used in the drag chain movement. Generally, flexible drag chain cables have the advantages of bending resistance, tensile resistance, abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, etc., and are generally used in automated technology mobile devices, such as automated production lines, welding robots, and detection instruments. Flexible towline cables require a special use environment, so what issues should be paid attention to when installing flexible towline cables?


1. When laying the flexible drag chain cable, it must not be distorted, and the cable cannot be lifted from one end of the cable drum or cable reel. The cable must be suspended first, and then the cable reel shall be rotated to release the cable.


2. Pay attention to the bending radius of the flexible towline cable, the installation radius is 6 times the cable diameter.


3. The cables need to be laid loosely and side by side in the cable drag chain, separated and sorted as far as possible, separated by spacers or through the support overhead, the gap between the cables in the cable drag chain should be 10% of the cable diameter.


4. The cables in the cable drag chain cannot be staggered together.


5. Both ends of the cable are fixed or fixed at the moving end of the cable drag chain. Generally, the distance between the moving point of the cable and the top of the cable drag chain should be 20-30 times the diameter of the cable.


6. Make sure that the cables cannot be moved within the bending radius, and the cables can move relative to each other or the guiding equipment.


7. If too much tension causes the cable towline to break, the cable must also be removed and replaced.
