Germany adds record 1,056 MW of installed solar PV capacity in August

Germany, September 2023 - The German photovoltaic (PV) industry set a new record in August 2023 with the addition of a whopping 1,056 megawatts (MW) of installed PV capacity, according to newly released data from the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur). This figure sets a new high for monthly growth in installed PV capacity, significantly surpassing the August 2022 figure of 640 MW and the July 2023 figure of 1.2 gigawatts.
