Solar power system industry's 4 stages of the development

The full name of solar is solar photovoltaic power generation system. It is a system in which solar cells are semiconductors and use solar effects to generate electricity. It can directly convert solar radiation into electrical energy. It is a new type of environmentally friendly power generation system; generally solar solar systems are divided into two categories One is distributed (with >6MW as the boundary). The roof solar power generation system of general industrial and commercial enterprises and residential roof solar power generation systems are distributed, and the other is centralized, such as the large-scale northwest ground solar power generation system. The development of the solar industry today can be roughly divided into four stages: the initial stage of development, the finishing stage, the growth stage, and the parity stage.

Early-stage of development: 2004-2010: The compound annual growth rate of new installed capacity reached 81.0%, and the main development areas were in European countries. The large-scale industrialization of solar power generation emerged in Europe in 2004. European countries led by Germany introduced government subsidy policies to promote the large-scale commercial development of the solar industry.

Finishing period 2011-2013: The compound annual growth rate of new installed capacity reached 12.8%. The European debt crisis has led European governments to significantly reduce solar subsidies. The decline in photovoltaic investment yields has led to a decrease in downstream demand. The rapid upstream expansion of the industry in the early stage further exacerbated the imbalance of supply and demand. At the same time, the United States and Europe successively launched "dual reverse" investigations on China's solar industry in 2011 and 2012, which caused a heavy blow to the solar industry as a whole. In 2012, the global solar new installed capacity fell for the first time.

Growth period 2014-2018: The compound annual growth rate of new installed capacity reached 22.1%, and the main place of development was in China. In 2012, China issued the "12th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Solar Power Generation" in response to the "dual reverse" investigations in the United States and Europe and increased subsidies for photovoltaic applications. "Several Opinions", clarify the electricity price subsidy standard and subsidy period. So far, China has taken over the baton that has led the development of the solar industry and opened the second round of rapid growth of the solar industry.

Parity period 2019-2025: The world is the main place for expansion. With the continuous maturity of the photovoltaic industry process technology and the improvement of the supply chain, in many countries, photovoltaic power generation has become an environmentally friendly, pollution-free, and low-priced energy source. The solar industry has entered a period of comprehensive price parity, and the global solar industry market is about to enter the next stage. It is growing steadily once.
